TURBULENCE IN YOUR LIFE?

TURBULENCE IN YOUR LIFE?

HE IS OUR STABILITY, HE LEADS US
AND REACHES OUT HIS HAND

The Light of the World showing the way in Turbulent Storms.

I love this picture above of Jesus being our candle of light in dark times. I don't know who the artist is, but it makes me cry to think about how many times Father God was there for me during stormy times in my life.

My thought today: After talking with some people who have been going through some turbulent times lately (and who hasn't?!) I got a picture in my mind of people in an earthquake or hurricane. what do you do in such times?? You try to grab on to something stable right??? If we would grab on to the Lord, He will cause us to become stabilized in these rocky times.. He is our Rock, our strong tower, our ever present help in times of trouble.

Luv You All,

LORD OF THE BREAKTHROUGH

LORD OF THE BREAKTHROUGH BAAL PERAZIM! 4/1/11

Hi Everyone.. How many of you need a breakthrough??!! I know for sure Joe and I do. There have been some changes going on here in our hearts and home. We are taking the kingdom by force. We have not had the energy or desire to do many things, except daily tasks and to work on the new projects we have been feeling led to do.. ..and in many ways we were feeling "hope against hope" in this economy and in other areas... and God has given us a BREAKTHROUGH to press through. Thank you all our friends who have been so wonderful and caring and loving to pray for us and to intercede. We know there is NO WAY we would have the strength without you, and cannot thank you enough. What ever would we do without each other??

Business has been so slow, and in many ways we are feeling like we are at the edge of the Red Sea with Pharoah coming after us again, but we know we serve a God who has proven over and over in our lives that He parts the Sea for us, most of the time lately not even in the eleventh hour, but even after.. but what we are realizing more and more is that if the body has not learned to love God in abounding and abasing, now is the time  In the midst of this it has caused us to come together and "fight the good fight of faith". God has good things for us and our place is to not lose faith and to always behold Him as being a Good Father who has our best interest in His heart. We must not walk as my friend says in a mistaken identity of who and what He is during stressful times. On top of this word, we have received two other prophetic words from people we have not heard from in a while, and so we know God is up to something good on our behalf.

I can feel a difference and I think we are beginning to take dominion over some things. We have some new energy too and hope that we did not have before.. even though financially we have not seen the breakthrough.. we are beginning to see it in other areas. We are doing what we can do and leaving the rest to God. We have been trying to clean out the areas in our home which have been taken over with our business.. which seems to be every nook and cranny.. Every time we try to work on this project, it overwhelms us totally. But, the God of Breakthrough has come and Joe has been working diligently to clear out space so we can do this. He is making great strides and even in a short time. Thank you Lord for my husband who perseveres even in difficult times. Thank you for his servant's heart and for loving me. I have been trying to get the energy to put some things for our business online, and I am finding the strength to do some of the work too, of which I am so grateful. I know his singleness of purpose in getting this job accomplished is giving me new backbone to help him in this battle of the garage!! He is a good man and I thank God for him.

We have been watching the Rodney Howard Browne Revival on TV and it has inspired us... We want to have our home ready to have some people over and to share the gospel and to fellowship. It is too crowded with our office in the house. So this project is necessary. When I moved here I moved out of a house that was twice the size and so our garage is full of 1/2 of my old house so it is quite a huge undertaking. So many memories to find homes for, and my youngest son came and put in flooring upstairs for storage and helped clean out a bunch of stuff, a while back..but there is myriads more to deal with!!! We have so many areas to our business that it will take up a large space, but we are determined to get this project done with God's help!! Business is so slow, and we feel we are to do everything we can for success.

I don't think it is by chance that we are being impressed to do this cleaning project at this time. This is the Lenten Season.. and the Passover Season.. a time to examine in our heart that which is good or bad.. to get the leaven out .. for a little leaven spoils the whole loaf as the word says.. During the Passover .. each home is to be carefully searched out for any leaven even little crumbs and they are to be gotten rid of. And just before the Passover, the man of the house searches the home for any crumbs left over and removes them. It is a time of self examination to also remove any leaven in our own hearts that will interfere with our relationship with God... in the natural and in the spirit. So, we are trying to prepare ourselves and our home in anticipation of some "New Things" that God will do. We need to keep each other in prayer for “Breakthrough” for the Lord of the Breakthrough to come in like a flood, and for us to get the leaven out and truly cleanse ourselves and homes and hearts so that the Passover Lamb can truly enter in and be Lord of our lives. I want to be changed, I don’t want to be the same old same old, I want a zest for life and I need to be renewed.

I know that the word says that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.. they shall rise up with wings as eagles . they shall walk and not faint.. It is easy to faint in these days and times. God showed me something in this verse however, a long time ago, that I have found to be true.. that there are two ways of WAITING.. as we WAIT patiently upon the Lord to move in an instance.. if we will but WAIT (serve) HIM.. God will renew us. So, that is what we are feeling led to do.. To "serve" our Lord Jesus in ways He is leading us.

This will be different for each one of us. We are all called to serve in different ways. Some may visit the sick in hospitals, some may have kind words for those they come in to contact with during their day, others may feed the hungry or babysit for a mother who needs a break... our greatest joy in serving is of course to sit at His feet and have fellowship with Him.. and out of that love relationship, He will tell us how to please Him in serving. I was thinking of all this and I was laying down to sleep and this is what happened.

What I am about to tell you is unusual for me.. I was going to sleep the other night and I heard the words "Pray to the God of the Breakthrough". I was like .. huh??? I never heard of that. I know there are names given to God such as Jehovah Jireh .. our Provider, and many others, but this is new to me.. But, I knew it was God. So, I got up and looked up online God of the Breakthrough and this is what I found:

Lord of the Breakthrough Baal Perazim

Monday, 03 January 2011 12:00 AM EST
So they came up to Baal-perazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim. —1 Chronicles 14:11
Baal-perazim literally means, "Lord of the breakthrough." Because David sought God's direction first (v. 10), he knew it was God's victory. David acknowledged God as the One who brought about his victory. He said, "I couldn't have done it if God had not gone before me."
There will be many battles to fight this year, but realize that you are not standing alone. The God you serve is the Master of the breakthrough, and the battle is not yours, but His. When you seek God first in the matter, you can be assured of the victory.
The battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). So, never defend yourself. Let Him be your strong tower, your defense, and your refuge. Why are you trying to fight battles He has already won? Put on His armor and go forth in His Spirit, not your own might and power (Zechariah 4:6).
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Every time you resist temptation, you will see the devil flee from you this year. I believe the greatest temptation we will be dealing with is to not trust God .. so we must determine in our hearts that we will be a grateful people.  We will thank Him for every little crumb, we will let Abba Father know we appreciate Him. We don't want to be sinful unappreciative people.. So let's give God the glory!
Lord, grant me the boldness to resist temptation
at every turn. I know You have given me victory
over the devil. So I praise Your name for
defeating the devil on the cross and
giving me the power through Your
blood to breakthrough sin and
live victoriously. Amen.

This is my prayer for all of you.. It is one I received tonight for a friend.. but I believe it is for many today..
Whatever it is that is your greatest need, I ask that you would come to your children's aid. I speak the word over them that you gave me yesterday... you said very simply in my heart..
"Donna, pray to the Lord of the Breakthrough"...
I pray the Lord of the Breakthrough, Baal Perazim.. our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ will come and breakthough all the areas in your life that are hindering. I pray for BREAKTHROUGH in every area that concerns you. I pray the lord of the breakthrough would break through enemy lines and push back the forces that have kept you back from walking in victory. I pray a breaker anointing upon you.. that everywhere you will go, you will walk in authority and that the love of God in you, will infiltrate and break every stronghold. That your enemies be scattered. I pray the Jewish prayer.. nothing missing, nothing broken in your life.. I pray every broken and wounded place be healed in Jesus name .. in your body, mind and spirit.. In Jesus Name Amen! You are loved in heaven and on earth.

TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST 3/21/11
Written by Joe Geertz

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

1 Corinthians 6:19
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Temple defined:
1a. A building dedicated to religious ceremonies or worship. B. Temple Either of two successive buildings in ancient Jerusalem serving as the primary center for Jewish worship
2. Something regarded as having within it a divine presence.
3. A building used for meetings by any of several fraternal orders.
4. A building reserved for a highly valued function: the library, a temple of learning.

Synonyms: cathedral, chapel, church, house of God, sanctuary, shrine, synagogue, tabernacle

This is a wow attribute. The opportunity to be the temple of our great God, the place where God dwells is within us. If we were a house we would be called God’s house, the place God desires to live. A house has a foundation, walls, rooms, closets, a roof, and windows. Within a house we are fed, bathed, warmed, sheltered, protected and covered. A house is where we sleep, rest, relax, and become calmed and comforted. A house is a place where all our emotions are exposed from excitement, laughter, tears, joy, peace and a multitude of others.

What kind of a temple are we? Are we a holy temple that loves righteousness and desires to please the Lord or do we have areas within the house where we hide things like in the closets?

In early days of the Bible there was a tabernacle and later on it became a temple. We are likened to the temple as a dwelling place of God. Within this temple are various furnishings such as the lampstand, an altar of incense, a laver, an altar for sacrifices, a table of showbread, an outer court, an inner court a mercy seat and the holy of holies. There is blood on the altar from the sacrifices.

The lampstand shows we give forth light and we are the light of the world. The altar of incense represents our prayers going up to heaven as a sweet smelling savor. The laver is for cleansing and washing and as we wash at the laver we see our reflection. The altar represents the fact that we are living sacrifices. The table of showbread shows we have the bread of life to offer to others. The outer court is our initial gathering place for fellowship with others and the inner court allows a place to gather to worship. The mercy seat is the representation of where God resides within our very depths and waiting and wanting to meet with us. The holy of holies shows we can have intimacy with the King. The blood on the altar represents our forgiveness because of the blood that was shed for us on Calvary.

It should be our hearts desire to keep our temple pure and holy for our God to dwell.

If a temple is a place where God dwells how do you feel about God dwelling in you since you are the temple of the Holy Ghost?

How does it make you feel if you do not belong to yourself, but belong to God?

Have you prepared a sanctuary for the Spirit of God to dwell in?

FIND YOUR PASSION

FIND YOUR TRUE PASSION 3/12/11
word written 3/21/11

Finding our place in God's Kingdom in this day and age is becoming more and more important. It is imperative that we know where our place is, and where and how we function. We are all part of one body and each person has a specific assignment. Finding that assignment will cause us to flourish in all areas.
These trying times are difficult on all of us. I heard a message a few weeks back that caused me to rejoice, as I know it is a word that God is impressing on His body today. I am going to share this word in a form I don’t usually do.

The following was an im chat I have permission to share with you. It was with someone I know who is actively seeking the Lord as to her place in life. I do think it is a "now" word that will bless others as well. ...I hope it blesses you as well.

Donna: I have not talked with you, and you have been on my mind.
I have been praying for you.. and in the midst of doing so, heard about a message from a friend and thought so much of you.

Friend: hey Mama! I was just tidying

Donna: Hi sweetie.. I only have a min but have a word for you

Friend: !!!?!? ok! Wow Lately I’ve been thinking I’m so far from God...

Donna: Yes I know, many are feeling that way... the signs of the times

Friend : someone even prayed for me a bit, and i just...felt so far, I was even unsure of my salvation at times.

Donna: well there is a turn coming

Friend: so very true mama, its all around

Donna: I love you dear one... from the depth of my Momma being . hahaahha

Friend: aww thanks mama!!!!

Donna: a turn is coming

Friend: and I love that mama being!.. ha ha ha Is this a word?

Donna: Yes.. I am your mamabeing.. trying to just BE in life...

Here, this is the word.. here it comes!! I heard a message from a woman I know this past week. She is a talented woman with an enormous amount of gifting including prophetic, and she is a strong warrior in the Lord… so pretty, with Indian (like woo woo Indian!) Indian blood in her veins. She had a melt down last week. She was suicidal and everything. One crisis after another had hit her like waves crashing and beating her down.. Sound familiar?
She heard a message that turned her around, and when she told me, I thought of you. In a nutshell, cause I have to go in a short minute… It is about the Seven Mountains God is causing us to see today in regard to our destiny. There are different sectors of influence we can be involved in to effect God’s Kingdom.

Friend: wow kk

Donna: But, it says that there are several mountains today that God is working on in his children. One is the Political Mountain...there are those I call "Patriots" today who are called to speak the truth about what is happening in our world to get people to think about the reality of where our world is going at present... some of them KNOW it is their ministry, others don't even realize it is God's calling on them in this hour. Some are called into that arena, and then some others are called into the arts just for example, telling a story in art form…. That is a BIG Mountain of ministry in these days, as we have talked about.

Friend: yes

Donna: That is the one you and Joe are called to, and Lynne Barletta and me to a degree. It astounds me to see what is happening in the arts today. It is like this whole area of ministry is opening in profound ways to display God’s story and to draw many to Christ.
Then there is the one to minister to those in need, counsel, healing, evangelism and mainly today in the marketplace… That is mainly where my mountain is. So many do not know what mountain they are on, and the key is to find our real passion. Cause God is NOT playing church as usual, absolutely NOT…and so many are not seeing it, they are trying to put new wine in old wineskins, and they are bursting all over just like the bible says, and making a mess.

Friend: I agree

Donna: Wasting the wine the Lord just told me.. the precious wine. He wants to put NEW WINE in fresh new wineskins that will HOLD what He is about to do in these coming hours. We need to let go of our old ways of doing things and old ideas to receive the new thing He is doing. I leave it all behind to encounter the REAL, TRUE and LIVING Christ.

Speaking by the Holy Spirit now... I can feel it ..So, He wants you to know that He has a vision and destiny for your life....the KEY is to FIND you destiny. Those who seek Him WILL find Him. The first KEY to finding our destiny it to realize that GOD IS our destiny. Our destiny is HIM and KNOWING HIM…That is our priority and our greatest destiny in life. If we KNOW Him, we will know our true destiny, and all the gifts and talents He has graced us with and planted within us will flourish.

What is it that causes your heart to overflow with great joy in life, where do you bear the most fruit that remains for God’s Kingdom.. what brings satisfaction into your life? Many times the thing you are called to do is very easy for you.. for His yolk is easy and His burdens light. It is usually the thing that might be hard for others, but easy for you… maybe it is cooking for those who are hungry, for you it is “duck soup”, but for others it is a total burden. Perhaps it is providing jobs and a living for people and encouraging them to see more for their lives, or it might be someone who can build what no one else can.. like my sone building a massive picnic table with even a connected chidlren's table so friends and family can gather.. Or ministering to children as a teacher or daycare leader.. providing an atmosphere of love and encouragement. Maybe it is to minister to those in prison, physically or mentally and helping them to see their true potential.

Find out what it is that causes your heart to overflow with great joy. Is your sphere of influence in the area of education? Perhaps your calling is to teach others the truth. Or as my sons..who’s calling is the Media – to fill the airwaves with “good news”.

Then the next step is to seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek HIM .. to find the plan, cause He WANTS YOU to prosper and to do well even in the land of wasteland…..the desert….barrenness…..dry place..
He WANTS you to flourish in HIM. So, the KEY is to search your soul until you find your passion.... your destiny and SEEK God for His plan. You will then learn the most important thing in life.. that success is not merely in monetary gain, but in a heart that is at peace knowing they are doing God's will for their lives.

Many of the things we do if we are not walking in our destiny are from either habit or boredom.. busy things…

these things will fall away as you are immersed in your passion.
Get your house in order
Prepare for success
For the world will be waxing worse and worse as the bible says,
BUT they that KNOW the Lord will do GREAT exploits
Do not allow the world and the voice of the enemy turn you from your TRUE passion
Stomp the devils head, Tell him no more trespassing, He will not stop you anymore from you true calling.
Anoint yourself with oil and wash your face as the bible says .. no time for pity parties, that accomplishes nothing

and get up and Press into your rightful place.
Leave the world and all it's temptation behind
It is NOT for you... it is NOT your portion
YOUR portion is the Promised Land!!
Your goal is to find, seek and climb your mountain..
claim it and proclaim your destiny in Christ.
This word made me think of Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music. Her name was Maria and she thought her destiny was to be a nun, secluded in an Abby, but God had other plans for her.. Sometimes the calling God has for us may look anything but religious!! LOL!

Maria’s mountain was to minister to a sad and broken father with motherless children. She had a song to sing, when she realized her destiny.. she could then climb her mountain to freedom in her life... what a profound story for us.  To find our mountain of the Lord's making and climb it!
So, my prayer for you today is that you will seek God .. that He will impact your very being with that which He has called and ordained you to do since before the beginning of time, and that we will climb our mountains together with Christ.. our Good Shepherd leading the way!!

I need to go now.. but think on these things and I want your input and opinion... Luv you bunches

Friend: Mama!! WOW!!

From my heart to yours,

Donna Trexler-Geertz

RAINS OF REFRESHING

RAINS OF REFRESHING NOT WRATH 1/21/11

It always tickles me and astounds me to see the different means God uses to capture our attention. He is a God who does not usually do things the same way twice.. ever changing and yet His character NEVER changes!

One morning my husband and myself awakened to dreary weather. We live in sunny Florida and we are used to afternoon showers at times and hurricanes along with gorgeous weather. But, on this particular morning, it was so nasty out and the winds were blowing so hard.. It was raining nonstop, with hard pelts slapping against our home. Lightening was striking with loud cracking sounds too. Usually this never bothers me.. I would have been content to lay safely in bed hearing the inclement weather outside and rain on the rooftops and and bask in the moment with some delicious blueberry coffee (my favorite) and an Everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese!!

However, this morning was different. All of a sudden I was paralyzed with fear and trepidation. I was overwhelmed with a feeling of doom and gloom and the noise of thunder grabbed me and I was reminded of the old time churches who used to say if thunder was going on .. it was God's anger being displayed. Wow! Law and legalism sure gives us some crazy ideas, doesn't it??? I had never believed that, but this particular morning I was thinking it might be true. Yikes~ With so much going on in this crazy world today, I would not be surprised with God's anger towards us for sure, I would have never tolerated all our sins... but while pondering that thought, I was also reminded of a story I had heard that penetrated my heart and has become part of my being whenever I get impatient with others at times or even myself. It reminds me to never forget God's grace and patience towards us.

It is a fictional story about a man named Abner who is beside himself with a believer who is just not growing, changing, receiving God's truth, etc.. quite as fast as Abner had desired, so he gets mad and begins to pour out his discontent to God. Maybe he even wants to smack that person with a "wet fish" to wake his friend up to smell the coffee as my girlfriend sometimes says!! God's answer is so simple and life changing.

God says "Abner, I have been long suffering with this person you are talking about for his entire life.... can you not tarry with him for even a short period of time?"!!!!!

That is a good point. God is not angry with us, disappointed, yes... heartbroken that He loves us so and we go our own ways instead of coming to Him.. yes..... Are there consequences of our actions? Absolutely. But, He is not into scare tactics to draw us to Him. He draws us by His love... not a turn or burn gospel. Turn or burn conversions are at best normally just temporary although I know many including myself sometimes are tempted to scare the "hell" out of hardheaded people.... He is not a hard taskmaster. Hallelujah!! God is after our hearts, and the way He wins our hearts and the issues in our hearts which are wicked to the core is through His amazing love.

So, while contemplating all this in my warm cozy bed... I decided to tell my husband my dilemma about this strange fear that had gripped me about God's wrath and the lightening I was hearing that sounded so angry and foreboding outside our home. My behavior and lack of faith was so odd.

He didn't skip a beat and went to the garage and brought this rain stick in and put on some Christian music and began to play this rain stick!!! Now, before all the religious people start sending me letters about how rain sticks are not of God etc.. just relax... rain sticks are used to depict the sound of Godly rain too in Christian music at times too.

My husband Joe began declaring some things, such as, "It was not the Rains of Wrath,
but the Latter Rain, the Rains of Revival"!!!

Immediately that spirit of fear and doom and gloom left me. It was like my eyes were opened and I could see how wrong my thinking had been in regard to the angry storm. I then began to think of a song from Brownsville Revival and also from Misty Edwards at IHOP (International House of Prayer) called "Let it Rain". here are some tube videos of this song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTgnkWYnsJI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S484dP8CVi8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXcqPPsz4Q0

As I listened to the song, I was wondering how many other people and believers were feeling the same way about the rains they had been experiencing in their own lives with all the troubles going on in the world, finances, losing homes, economic trauma, bringing floods of hopelessness.

I do believe for sure these are the end days and all these things must happen, they must come to pass ... but in the midst of our troubles, Our God sends good rain in a parched and dry land of our hearts to help us through these times. Many times it happens at the midnight hour when all else has failed just so we KNOW it was only God's hand. Perhaps it will come in a word of encouragement, maybe someone giving groceries, maybe with a prayer that hits home, maybe a surprise monetary gift, or a visit when we felt all alone, or a multitude of others things that let us know that God is still in control and loves us through our difficulties. He comes with His refreshing, cleansing, life-giving Latter rain to help restore our hearts, souls and minds. When we feel like we are in a desert place.... our own wilderness experiences, we need His revitalizing rain to revive and restore us.

While listening to the songs on rain, God began to stir my spirit with a word.. He began to speak to me and I wrote down what was said. The wonderful thing about this whole morning experience was that during the day, I just kept bumping into people either whom I was counseling, or on facebook, or anywhere else I was that day. It surprised me how many people I felt led to share this word with were blessed by His word. I love when God does that.. He takes us through situations so we can share with others.

Here is the word God gave me .. this is one I sent to someone on Facebook whom I did not know.. just felt I was to send it to him...
Hi!
I don’t remember how we became friends on Facebook.. but I used to live in Charleston SC where my late husband and myself pioneered a church. After his death I moved to Florida to be near family.. I am now remarried to a wonderful man and we still live in Florida. I have friends on Facebook and such and I am not sure where and how I met some of them!!

I know we don't know each other except by the spirit, but I have a word for you today...

May our God pour the rains of His spirit upon you today...
May you dance in the rain and be refreshed and drenched in His loving waters of revival..
May your soul rejoice,
May His rain water all the seeds of faith He has planted within your heart,
May they grow and prosper.

Blessings dear one of God, you are loved in heaven and on earth...

Spring forth oh well within your soul.
I am praying for an overflow of His living waters to pour out upon you and those you hold dear

....Holy Hugs... Donna
